Doing the book trick just to get to the forgemaster is stupid. It adds a shitload of time to the trip. Clear the two skele mobs you first run into, clear the group on top of the knoll, get the quest, clear the temple, take next quest, get armor.

Just did a guild run for a customer in just under 90 minutes. No book trick needed. Tip: Spellbreaker your agro tank, then clean up on them.

Here is a build that will get you to the forgemaster without using a stance tank or the book trick:

1 damage tank (NOT w/mo and helps for him to have dolyak sig or balanced stance)
2 healers (1 with judges insight 1 with spell breaker)
1 barrier monk (mo/me with mantra of inscritptions and blessed sig)
1 barrage/interupt ranger (with judges insight)
1 curses necro (with blood ritual)
1 fire or air ele
1 shutdown or degen mesmer

If you can make a group that looks like this you can probably make it to the forgemaster in about an hour. It helps to have a w/r with predatory season. The monk with judges insight should cast it on the warrior right before he draws aggro so he can do more damage. If the warrior is set up right he can help a lot with damage. (I can solo the priest of menzies with my w/r). If you cannot find a mesmer take another ele to help with damage. DO NOT take a BiP necro because they don't help as much with damage.

I love this post. Why? Because all 6 classes are incorporated in it. Warrior, Monk, Ranger, Necro, Elementalist, Mesmer.

I like to use all of the classes because the game was designed so that if you do you can play more effectively, its common sense really, something 99% of the people in this game lack.
